Frequently Asked QuestionsWill you come to any size church?Yes. The decision to come to a local church is determined not by its size, but by the will of God and the local church's belief and practice of biblical truth. (See our Statement of Faith) What is your financial policy? This is a faith ministry and therefore no demands are made or guarantees asked of the local church. However, we encourage the host church to prayerfully consider the need. Housing, taxes, insurances, utilities, maintenance, medical, retirement, and all other living costs, as well as, office and ministry costs need to be met. Equipment, vehicle purchases, and their upkeep are not provided.zz Benefits that most pastors enjoy such as hospitalization, weekly salary, vacations, etc. are not provided. Because we are a faith ministry, we come on a free-will offering basis. We will not promote the offering while in the church. We do ask that the pastor and people remember that this is a full-time ministry. There has never been a "price" put on this ministry. Therefore, we are willing to come even if expenses can not be met. We ask that you do not make the financial needs a determining factor in having the ministry. We will trust God together to meet the needs. Is your ministry and message only evangelistic? No. Both the ministry and the message are diversified. We have been invited to lead or participate in Bible conferences, evangelistic meetings, revival crusades, mission's conferences, men's and women's retreats, marriage seminars, home-school conventions, and family conferences and therefore the message differs accordingly. How is this ministry supported?Don Currin Ministries is supported by the contributions of local churches and individuals. It is not underwritten by any organization and therefore has no guarantee of income. All gifts are tax deductible. Valid receipts are issued in the United States and Canada. The ministry is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions to this ministry in the U.S. are receipted directly by Don Currin Ministries, while Canadian donors are receipted by the Canadian Revival Fellowship in Regina, Saskatchewan. All disbursements are governed and approved by a Board of Directors which is made up of pastors and laymen. Are you a local church ministry?Yes. We believe that God's method for carrying out the Great Commission is through the local church. Recognizing the need for accountability and direction, Don Currin Ministries is under the authority of the elders of First Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. |
